Update – RSGB Olympics Facilitator
The volunteer for the RSGB post of Olympics Facilitator has now been appointed
The RSGB has announced that Steve Fletcher, G4RFC, has agreed to become the RSGB’s Olympic Facilitator.
Steve will be drawing together all the information on radio amateur special events associated with the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Steve wants to hear about your plans so the RSGB website can show who is doing what, when and where. The Games are a once off opportunity to
demonstrate amateur radio and at the same time have some fun. Steve can be reached at g4rfcinfo@yahoo.co.uk.
Original Announcement
The Radio Society of Great Britain is looking for a volunteer to help in facilitating the various initiatives members are taking with regard to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Clubs and groups are planning a wide range of events in various parts of the British Isles and this is raising a number of issues which will need to be resolved and communicated.
The role is one of helping, making information available, publicising events throughout RSGB, motivating teams and individuals.
This is primarily a facilitation role and as such, keeping the Olympic part of the RSGB webpage up to date is part of the brief.
If you think you can help, contact Bob G3PJT, g3pjtbtinternet.com. with subject ‘Olympic Facilitator’. Tel 01223 263137.
